Easy To Be Cynical
Room #5
Tina breaks a nail as she cracks a pistachio
In the patio of that cute cafe
She says "My life is over, I just had these done
What will I dothere goes my entire day"
And the tired waiter couldn't help but hear
He leans over and whispers in her ear
It's easy to be cynical, hard to be grateful
I want you to know how much I feel your pain
Easy to be cynical, hard to be grateful
And if you leave a giant tip I'll say it once again
Joey has a bandage wrapped around his ankle
Foots up on the table for all to see
He's had to stop his workout, put a little weight on
"I've lost my definition" he says "Oh, poor me"
The waitress carrying twenty pounds of glasses
Mutters under her breath as she passes:
It's easy to be cynical, hard to be grateful
I'm tryin' to be enlightened but I haven't got it yet
Easy to be cynical, hard to be grateful
Everyone is beautiful but you make me forget
Cynthia got fired with just a tiny severance pay
Only six figures, how's a girl to get by
She orders caviar, says "I've got to cut back
I've got to lose my dog masseuse and feng shui guy"
And the underpaid busboys on the run
All form a line and sing in unison
Es facil ser cynico, pero dificil agradecer
We want you to know how much we feel your pain
Easy to be cynical, hard to be grateful
And if you leave a giant tip we'll say it once again
Easy to be cynical, hard to be grateful
I would like to sympathize but you make it so tough
Easy to be cynical, hard to be grateful
How come when we have so much it never is enough?
